Make a map of every floor in your house. Start with the floor with your
bedroom. Mark doors (D) and windows (W). Draw two escape paths (E) out of
every room out of the house. Choose an outdoor meeting place (M) with your
family. That is where you will meet up with everyone if you have to leave the
house. (D) = DOOR (W) = WINDOW (E) = ESCAPE PATH (M) = OUTDOOR MEETING PLACE

How to Create My Fire Escape Plan

Print form and have the family together to participate in creating the plan.
Indicate an emergency exit you can use if normal route is blocked.
Indicate normal escape routes.
Draw a plan showing where bedrooms, kitchen, baths and exits are located.
